Blue Cave and Hvar with Speed Line

Speed Line runs the five-island loop from the same steps on Trg Republike as Valiant, in boats of 12, with the longest Komiža stop of the classic tours. People book it for the skippers, who reshape the day when the sea or the cave says no.

Blue Cave, Hvar & 5 Islands by Speed Line

About this experience

Speed Line is a Split boat operator, and its route is close to Valiant's: Biševo and the Blue Cave first, then Komiža, the Stupišće missile base, the limestone caves, Stiniva, the Budikovac lagoon, a glance at the Pakleni islands and Hvar town. The differences are in the minutes. Komiža gets 75 minutes, Stiniva only 10, Budikovac about an hour with a cocktail, and Hvar about 2 hours 10 minutes.

Read the ticket line carefully. The listing shows the Blue Cave entry under Includes, then says it is payable in cash on the boat. In practice you pay the crew in euros on the day: EUR 24 per adult from 20 June to 10 September, EUR 18 in spring and from 11 September to 31 October, half for children 6 to 12. One guest from August advised bringing cash for the Blue Cave and the Blue Lagoon, so keep some spare for a drink at Budikovac too.

The cave itself is short: a queue at Mezuporat, a wooden tender through a 1.5 m high entrance, and 5 to 15 minutes inside. When the cave is shut, the listing says the captain tries to find an alternative, and one September guest described the skipper adding a swim stop and pausing for dolphins on the way home. You need an active WhatsApp: the exact meeting time comes the day before.

  • About an hour at Budikovac with a cocktail, a swim and snorkel gear

Tips before you book

  • Bring a small cooler bag with snacks and water. The listing asks you to, and so does an August guest.
  • Carry euros in small notes for the cave and a drink at Budikovac. Biševo has no card machine and no ATM.
  • Pack a windbreaker for the morning crossing outside July and August.
  • Book the whole group together so you end up on the same boat.
