Your tour booking gets you to Biševo. It usually doesn't get you inside the cave. The Blue Cave ticket is sold at Mezuporat, the cove where tour boats tie up and passengers change into small wooden tenders, and it is paid in cash. In 2026 it costs EUR 24 per adult from 20 June to 10 September and EUR 18 the rest of the season.
Below: every rate, what the ticket buys, which Split tours fold it into their price, and how not to end up at the ticket hut with only a card.
The quick answer
Adults pay EUR 24 from 20 June to 10 September 2026 and EUR 18 from 1 April to 19 June and 11 September to 31 October. Children 6 to 12 pay half; under-6s go free. Cash only. Of the Split tours, only Day Trips includes the ticket in its price, and Booker Travel sells an option with it.

How much is the Blue Cave entrance fee in 2026?
EUR 24 per adult in high season (20 June to 10 September) and EUR 18 in spring and autumn. Children 6 to 12 pay half, under 6 free.
The 2026 rates, as listed by the hvar.com Blue Cave guide and repeated on the Gray Line, Salty Experience and Toto Travel listings:
| Ticket | 1 Apr to 19 Jun | 20 Jun to 10 Sep | 11 Sep to 31 Oct |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adult | EUR 18 | EUR 24 | EUR 18 |
| Child 6 to 12 | EUR 9 | EUR 12 | EUR 9 |
| Under 6 | Free | Free | Free |
The rate follows the date of your visit, not the date you booked. Right now the cheaper EUR 18 rate runs until the season ends on 31 October; the October 2026 post covers the last weeks. There are no scheduled visits from November to March.
What does the Blue Cave ticket include?
The ride in a licensed wooden tender from Mezuporat into the cave and back: 5 to 15 minutes inside, seated, with a guide.
Tenders take 6 to 8 people (hvar.com) and go through the 1.5-metre entrance one at a time. Booker Travel's listing describes 15 minutes inside with an official guide on a wooden boat. You can't swim, and you can't enter any other way: the licensed boats from Biševo are the only access.
The ticket doesn't buy you a time slot. You wait your turn in the queue at Mezuporat, usually 45 to 60 minutes and up to 90 in late August. The cave is run from Komiža; the Komiža tourist board lists the cave's own phone line (+385 91 463 3330) if you need to ask anything directly.

Can you pay the Blue Cave ticket by card?
No. It's cash only, in EUR, and there is no card machine and no ATM on Biševo.
Croatia has used the euro since 2023, so take small EUR notes from an ATM in Split the day before. On some tours you hand the cash to the crew: Speed Line collects it on the boat, and Toto Travel's crew takes it too. On others you pay at the ticket hut at Mezuporat.
A family of two adults and two children aged 6 to 12 pays EUR 72 in high season and EUR 54 in spring or autumn. Bring a little over the exact amount for coffee in Komiža and drinks later on.
Which Blue Cave tours from Split include the entrance fee?
Only Day Trips includes it in the tour price. Booker Travel sells an option with tickets. Everyone else charges it in cash on the day.
Read the inclusions closely. Two listings put the ticket under "Includes" but still expect cash:
| Tour | From | Cave ticket |
|---|---|---|
| Day Trips | $120 | Included in the price |
| Booker Travel | $139 | Included only if you pick the option with tickets |
| Speed Line | $90 | Listed as included, but paid in cash on the boat |
| Valiant | $89 | Listed under Includes, but the itinerary says extra fee: check at booking |
| Toto Travel | $111 | Extra, cash to the crew |
| Gray Line | $126 | Extra, cash on site |
| Salty Experience | $131 | Extra, cash only |

The only Split tour with the cave ticket in the price, plus hotel pickup from Split or Trogir.
Explore the tour with the cave ticket included Tour detailsIs a tour with the ticket included better value?
Roughly the same money. Day Trips costs more up front, but once you add a cash ticket to a cheaper tour, the gap shrinks to a few dollars.
The cheapest tour starts at $89. Add a high-season ticket of EUR 24, about $27 at October 2026 rates (EUR/USD history), and you are at around $116. Day Trips starts at $120 with the ticket, hotel pickup, food and drink and tips all listed as included. In spring and autumn the EUR 18 ticket is about $20, so the difference is about $11.
The real argument for the all-in price is convenience: no cash run, no counting notes at Mezuporat. If you'd rather pick on route and crew, a cheaper tour plus cash works just as well. Booker's option with tickets sits between the two.
Pay once and leave the cash at home: cave ticket and hotel pickup included.
Check dates for the tour with the cave ticket includedWhen do you pay, and what if the cave is closed?
On the day, at Mezuporat or to the crew. If the cave is closed you simply don't buy a ticket.
Because the ticket is bought on the spot, a closed cave costs you nothing extra on most tours. The tour itself still runs and swaps in another stop, so the tour price stays paid. On Day Trips, where the ticket is in the price, ask at booking how a closed day is handled: Full Suitcase notes that reputable operators refund the cave part when access is impossible.
Closures come with swell and the southerly jugo, and they are decided on Biševo, often the same morning. More in closures and the best time to go.

Are there other fees on a Blue Cave day?
Lunch in Hvar town on most tours, drinks, and coffee in Komiža. Day Trips lists tips as included.
- Lunch: Valiant, Speed Line and Gray Line leave lunch in Hvar to you, and Booker Travel tells you to bring a packed lunch. Salty Experience, Day Trips and Toto Travel list food and drinks.
- Coffee and drinks: the Komiža stop is built around a coffee. Speed Line's listing mentions a cocktail at the Budikovac stop.
- Green Cave: on Ravnik, about EUR 6 to 12 by season (hvar.com). It is a common stop on tours from Hvar, not on the Split tours listed here.
- Tips: Day Trips lists tips as included. Elsewhere it's up to you.

Do children pay for the Blue Cave?
Under-6s go free. Children 6 to 12 pay half: EUR 12 in high season, EUR 9 in spring and autumn.
The tours have their own age limits, which matter more than the ticket. Day Trips and Gray Line take children from 3, Valiant and Toto Travel from 4, Booker Travel from 5. Salty Experience excludes under-2s, and under-4s on some options. Ten hours is a long day for a small child in any case; the Blue Cave or Blue Lagoon guide has the five-hour alternative.
A long swim stop in the Pakleni islands keeps children happy on the way home.
